PETER and DIANE SALMOND
Founders of Ashes To Worship (ATW) Ministries. Came from Canada in June 2011 with a heart to come alongside the poorest in Rwanda and help lift them up from the struggle of their everyday lives. God gave them a dream to empower people through practical sewing skills and Biblical discipleship, and the Ashes To Worship Sewing School which started in August 2012. Proud parents of four and grandparents of sixteen.
Teaches new designs and oversees the administration of both the sewing school and the ATW Designs. She enjoys sewing, learning new sewing techniques and gardening.
Teaches discipleship classes and maintains the sewing machines. Has a heart for discipleship and teaching in churches. He enjoys gardening, tinkering and creating things with his own hands.
Originally from Australia. Arrived in Rwanda January 2014 with her husband and 3 young children (8, 6, 4). She divides her time between homeschooling and managing ATW Designs, where she’s responsible for designing and teaching new products. She enjoys sewing clothes for her children, photography and coffee ❤ and fabric shopping ☺.
Rwandan. Married with 4 children (7, 6, 4.5, 3.5). He dreams of having his own sewing studio with employees. He likes gardening and sewing.
JULIUS and EVELYNE (started April 1, 2017)
Both are excited to join the existing team at ATW and are passionate about serving the poor and the vulnerable young women and men. They have not only come to ATW with a testimony of how true God can fulfill His promises but also with a blend of skills that will further the growth of the ministry.
